JETS OFF TO A FLYING START!
Welcome to another season here at The Hangar!
It’s been a while since we had a catch-up, so let’s jump straight in with the pre-season and first three games of the regular season…
Back at the end of August, the Jets played four pre-season games, home and away fixtures against the Bristol Pitbulls from the National League, followed by home and away fixtures against the Streatham Redhawks.
All four games were highly competitive and the pick of the bunch has to be beating Bristol at their rink with an overtime goal from Sebastian Mohr to seal the game 1-2 to the Jets.
The first three games of the season are now in the books, with comfortable victories over Swindon Wildcats 2 (7-0) at the Link Centre and MK Thunder up in Milton Keynes (9-0).
This weekend (21st September) The boys were back on home ice to face the Solent Devils, in arguably one of the greatest Jets performances for some time, the boys ran out 6-0 winners in front of a packed rink.
Matt Smital picked up his third shut-out in a row to seal the win, with Minter (2), Mohr, Harman, Redmond and Luke Smital finding the back of the net.
With no games this weekend, we look forward to welcoming the Cardiff Fire back to Slough on Sunday 6th October for a 5.45pm face-off!
Tickets for ALL home games are available now!
